Annual Victorious Ladies Camp Meetings

The annual Victorious Ladies Camp Meetings held at the Chinhoyi Prayer Mountain are a positive and valuable experience for the Ladies who have the privilege for attending. With the inaugural camp meeting having been established in 2015 this is now a calendar event that the Ladies in UFIC as well as from other denominations look forward to yearly.
The first thing most people feel when they attend the camp meeting is that shift from their regular busy and hectic schedules to a place of tranquility. Campers find themselves surrounded by God’s creation, an environment that turns their minds to Him. Nestled between seven mountains away from billboards, noise and busy traffic, part of the beauty of the camp meeting is that it is set apart from the regular day to day activities. You will rarely see laptops, hand held electronic devices or televisions which is quite beneficial spiritually and for fellowship with one another without any technological hindrances.
Women experience and go through a lot with so much to manage and juggle. Sometimes the energy, zeal, dedication and commitment to pray is diminished. The Prayer Mountain is a rendezvous of prayer. At the camp women rise up early and pray. This is an offering which rises to the Lord as sweet smelling incense. The Prayer Mountain is a place where women learn to pray effectively connecting with the Holy Spirit.
In the book of Titus Paul singles out mature women of faith, those who had already learned to love their husbands, learned to love their children, and learned to be reverent, godly, modest and wise—and charged them with seeking out and meeting with every younger woman in the church. Each day teaching sessions are held to empower and equip all the women in their Christian walk. Ruth Makandiwa’s desire is to see women become mighty, awe-filled women of God who know, believe and share God’s Word in their areas of influence.
With modernisation and changing values, there is rarely time to sit down and to be corrected. Most people have become so independent and have selective hearing. Advices and trends are from peers, media and media personalities. Once in a while it is important to be corrected and guided. At the camp, Ruth Makandiwa with the help of other Pastors takes time to lovingly rebuke and correct the ladies. The young ladies, the single and the married are taught on how to carry themselves and overcome temptation. The ladies are also taught on how to manage and account for their finances and resources as well as being productive.
At the camp the ladies are treated to outstanding fashion moments. There is a session dedicated for modeling in the UFIC regalia. With the modeling competition open for everyone young and old, tall and short, petite and plus size it allows the ladies to gracefully stride on the runway, showing off their beautiful UFIC regalia. It is the enthusiasm that the ladies leave with at the Camp meeting that makes this place extraordinary. If holidays are a custom, then these trips also should be a custom. A second in His presence at the Prayer Camp is all you need for your life to change. These prayer meetings offer so much more than meets the eye! It is not just a place of worship but a great place to retreat and unwind and recharge batteries.
